It’s nearly Christmas which means the new year is right around the corner and I was just thinking about the yearly headache of updating the copyright notices on my websites. Luckily, if you’re using WordPress it’s actually really simple to have the copyright notice in the footer of your site to update each year automatically.
Simply add the following code to your footer.php template and never worry about updating your copyright again!
Copyright © <?php echo the_date('Y'); ?> - All Rights Reserved
